The President Mr. Jean-Luc BERTHOLET
Mr. Jean-Luc BERTHOLET is a Swiss citizen. He obtained his licence (first degree) in Economics a DES (postgraduate degree) in Econometrics and his Doctorate from the University of Geneva. He has undertaken research in statistical methodology under the direction of Professor H. Wold (member of the jury of the Nobel Prize in Economics). What is more, he has worked in the field of the sociology of education, following which he was for a time the officer responsible for the energy statistics of the Canton of Geneva. Currently he is working for the University Centre for the Study of Energy Problems of the University of Geneva and also the Finance Department of the Canton of Geneva. He is the author of several publications on the questions of energy and statistics.
The Director Mr. Gyula CSURGAI
Mr. Gyula CSURGAI is Swiss and Hungarian citizen. Having graduated from the University of Concordia (Canada) and the University of Toulouse (France) with a degree in Political Science, he obtained a first DES (postgraduate degree) in European Studies from the European Institute of the University of Geneva, as well as a second entitled : “Cultural Identity, Nationalism and International relations” from the Department of Philosophy of the same University. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Geneva. He has worked as a scientific collaborator at the Geneva International Peace Research Institute (the GIPRI Foundation), where he organised and directed courses in geopolitics. A lecturer in geopolitics in academic and professional circles, he is the author of several studies and publications in the field of geopolitics which have been published in Canada , Belgium , Italy , France and Hungary . He is currently the director of the geopolitics courses of the I.C.G.S.
The Deputy Director Mr. Peter GÖRÖG
Mr. Peter GÖRÖG is a Swiss and Hungarian citizen. He obtained hisLicence (first degree) in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, as well as a Diplôme des Etudes Approfondies (postgraduate degree) in the field of “International History and Politics”, with a specialisation in European Studies, from the same Institute. In addition, he holds a second postgraduate degree, awarded by the Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (Centre d'Etudes Diplomatiques et Stratégiques -CEDS-, Paris), and a Diploma in International Humanitarian Assistance awarded by the Centre for International Health and Cooperation (CIHC) in Dublin. Recently, he has worked in the European Union Liaison and Coordination Office of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Brussels , and for the Regional Office of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), in Croatia.
The Responsible for External Relations Madam Yolande CAMPORINI
A Swiss and French national, she is responsible for the external relations of the I.C.G.S. and is additionally a consultant, a Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Légion Honneur ( France ). She has also worked for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, notably as the Head of Cabinet of the President.
